Today is done.....thank goodness

Well......
The morning started off with a bang.

From Army Men.

In my coffee.

Niiiiiiiice......

It was a beautiful day outside, which means the Duerksen family was outside.

Daddy serviced the lawn mowers, while I pulled weeds in my flower garden.  (BTW-when you build a house, especially a house where there were fields before your house, be prepared to have EVERY weeds known to man invade your 'flower garden.')

After working outside, we came inside and ate lunch a little early.  Working hard will make you hungry.

Josh ate a whole clamshell full of strawberries.  That boy LOOOOOVES his fruits.  Won't touch a vegetable, probably not even if they told him his weenie would fall off if he didn't.

Well, not all of us ate right away.  Macey got a step stool and climbed into Josh's bed to rest.

At random times throughout the day, I'll find her laying on the floor somewhere stroking her blanket.

After lunch, Josh went to his first Tumbling class.

Chad and I thought it would be just somersaults, log rolls, and the like, but they actually try to teach the kids handstands, cartwheels, and more!

More important that than, Josh is learning how to take directions and have "his listening ears" on for people other than family, wait his turn in a line, etc.

While Josh and Daddy were at Tumbling, Zoey got a bath.

That's one thing that I've noticed here is that she needs a bath more often.  I mean I was never one to give her a bath that much, but here, it quickly becomes a necessity.

Did you see that?  That was her giving me the stink eye.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that in addition to getting a bath, there was Macey squealing and pointing at Zoey....

THE ENTIRE TIME!

I'm fairly certain that she'll go crap on my carpet somewhere.....

Zoey, not Macey.

Then everyone took a nap and then more outside time!

And we caught.........

Nothing.  Zoey outsmarted the cage.  She ate the tuna in the cage and then backed out before it shut.

Atta girl!

And my kids LOVE to draw with sidewalk chalk lately.

And Josh is super creative.  If he ever figures out how to use his powers for evil.....

That is a car with a plastic PVC pipe going through the windows to make it look like an airplane.

Cutie Patootie!

And then the car had to have another pipe coming out the from front....like a bazooka!

And then it couldn't be all play and no work!

Here's Daddy doing something to the wire for our new dog fence.

Ummmmm...yeah.  That'll be another day.  Chad read somewhere that it takes about 10 hours for a yard smaller than ours.

Cuss word, cuss word, cuss word.....

Then while we were doing the wire thing, I look over and the kids are walking in the farmer's field.

Notice how Macey took her baby along....

(Rarely will you find Macey without a baby within arms reach.)

And then we played "Where is Josh?"

It did for a split second think about just leaving him there.

Naughty Mama.

And Macey got a Minnie Mouse helmet for her birthday.

She still can't reach the pedals on this bike or the tricycle, but surprisingly, Josh was willing to help.

And here is Mr. Smart Pants.  (His words, not mine.)

And eventually Macey gave up and just pushed the tricycle.

But no matter what happened, Zoey was NOT amused...

Yep, a day is done.  What, oh what, will tomorrow bring?!
